Club Year '07-08: CUJWC is proud to announce the distribution of its net proceeds this year to the Urbana High School Theatre Department. Over the last 6 years, we have thoroughly enjoyed working with UHS and Mr. Chew, the theatre director, to stage our yearly children's play. Thank you for all of your help and support as we are proud to make this donation to you.
Club Year '06-07: CUJWC was proud to distribute its net proceeds of over $2,100 to the Center for Women in Transition, a local nonprofit homeless shelter that offers support services and safe transitional housing to disadvantaged women and their children. Members of CUJWC volunteered their time to remodel a large room at the shelter used to house single women thus applying a majority of the donation to this project. Over the course of the summer, members coordinated a plan and color scheme for the room, removed old furniture, stripped wallpaper, cleaned and painted the room, assembled new beds, installed draperies, a ceiling fan, shelves and wall art, and provided new bedding and bed lamps.

Club Year '05-06: CUJWC was proud to distribute over $6,000 this year to numerous community organizations and programs thru a grant application process. Congatulations to all of the recipients.
We were also proud to award a total of $1,000 in scholarships to the following people: Aimee Carbough and Brianna Oliver. Congratulations and best of luck in continuing your education.
